![]() If you absolutely needed every single one of those coax lines If you’re trying to feed another coax line over MOCA then you only need that one line connected, unless you have cable TV on every one of those other 5 lines you need to disconnect everything that’s not being used. I’d suspect your signal levels are absolutely dog shit at this point because that’s -15db of attenuating not including cable loss! If you need any more info let me know.įirst problem, you’ve got a six way splitter then a two way splitter before the modem. I’m not sure what I need to do to get this working I was sad mine was not plug and play like many peoples. I have tried putting the coax in opposite ports on the moca, plugging in the Ethernet directly into the spectrum modem/router instead of the eero. I have the LAN light on and it blinks meaning data is going through but no link light. So the coax signal is working through the Moca at the very least as a pass through. The part I don’t understand is my WiFi still works. Upstairs, I have another Moca plugged into wall with coax and Ethernet plugged into my computer. The “device” coax port is plugged into the Modem/router from spectrum ( doesn’t have Moca capability) and the spectrum modem/router Ethernet port (single port) is plugged into initial Eero mesh node. Other coax on splitter goes to cable box. Moca here is plugged into coax that is in the 2-way splitter coming from wall. There is a splitter here as well rated for 1006 MHz. Modem/Router( I always mix these up - the one that does not emit WiFi) and starting node of mesh network are downstairs next to actual cable tv box. The 6 way splitter has only 5 coax cables plugged in and is rated for 1500 MHz. Here’s the set up -Ĭoax networks comes in to house upstairs in wall panel shown in photo. u/RoweDent created this awesome resource on network theoryĪlrighty I have tried quite a bit of trouble shooting methods and I’m not sure where to go. u/tht1kidd_ has created a suggestion post regarding information everyone needs to provide when asking a question about their network There have been some excellent guides written in this sub, and we're always looking for more!
