Since you have just the one mage, you'll want the summoner to focus mostly magical summons to help out with magic based damage.REL0AD THE PAGE IF YOU CAN'T PLAY THE VIDEOĪll in all, Developer Mode is only present in the Developer’s Cut version of Divinity II. Doesn't matter what weapon you equip really. Can also invest some Wits to go first and Con for using a shield to be more durable. It'll help with putting out or creating fires and other such things. ![]() This gives you the source infusions for the incarnate allowing them to cast powerful source spells.įor attributes, just focus memory and give yourself as many magic spells as you can so you can experiment with what each skill offers while having amazing battlefield control. Once you have the second point, craft the same combination again, but make one of the two books a source spell. I don't think you can cast fire infusion on a fire incarnate just to reset the cooldown though. Its useful because it also resets the cooldown of their innate spell based on their element. This only works for the four elements though. So Pyro and summoning gives you the ability to change your incarnate to a fire one at any time. Once you have a magic skill invested, craft a book from that element with any summoning book to get the element infusion for that skill. If you've seen my other posts about what a "proper" summoner looks like, its basically just get summoning to 10 ASAP, then invest 2 points in each magic skill. Honestly, that team setup would work fine. ![]() I'm afraid to get stuck in a corner with bad party composition and unfortunate skill point allocation on the offset. I'm mostly nervous about the magic classes because I think I get overwhelmed at all the possible spells to buy and what class exactly makes sense for my mage character (who is currently Fane). I was thinking of grabbing Beast or Ifan and having them be a ranger but haven't decided yet. I currently have my pc (Lohse) as a summoner, Red Prince is currently going to be mostly physical damage with him being a Knight currently, and then Fane is just a standard wizard(?) I believe at the moment. ![]() I was stressing that I wasn't building out my team the exact right way because I was planning on having one of my other classes be a ranger so I'm glad to see your post put me at ease! I decided to make my pc in divinity 2 a summoner and I started looking at guides and found that exact summoner/ranger class from fextralife. I've tried getting into divinity a few times but have always failed for one reason or another, but in preparation for Baldur's Gate 3 I decided to jump back in to a new save! So for that example, I'd recommend against it and instead build the same idea but in two different characters so the summoner and archer can both shine at their individual best. ![]() The archer half of that build will give a very poor impression of the power archers hold and spending points in archer skills means your summoning will never really meet its true potential until after the skill starts falling off. For example, if you search for an archer/ranger build I'm pretty sure the first thing to pop up is the ranger/summoner concept, a build I'd advise against. They're just not going to offer the absolute best options either. I mean, they're not terrible mind you, not all of them anyway. Originally posted by Lou Malnati:Thank you! I was actually reading Fextralife so that's good to know to seek other guides.
